TAG Passenger Services emerged from our sister company, Bus Centre Hire, in response to the increasing demand for bus hire services. Established in 2024, our roots in passenger transport date back to 2002. Our primary service area is the Eastern Part of Gauteng, but we also serve other regions within the Gauteng province.

We offer a diverse fleet ranging from 20-seater to 70-seater buses, ensuring that we can accommodate various group sizes and needs. Our mission is to provide exceptional service with clean, well-maintained buses. Our service offerings include:

• Corporate Travel: Daily hire, functions, year-end events, meetings, training sessions, team-building activities, site inspections, and funeral transport.
• Private Hire: Daily hire, church conferences, shuttles, funerals, events, weddings, and more.
• Leisure Hire: Daily hire, chauffeur-driven holidays, getaways, and organized group bookings.
• School Transport: Daily hire for sports events, camps, and tours.
• Park & Ride Services: Bus provision for park and ride facilities.
• Airport Transfers: Comprehensive airport shuttle services.

Our professional drivers hold valid PDPs, and we do not offer self-drive options to ensure adherence to our insurance requirements and commitment to safety. We pride ourselves on an accident-free record and provide R65 million in passenger insurance, public liability cover, and comprehensive insurance on all our buses.

TAG Passenger Services was founded in 2024, but we are far from being the new kid on the block. Our roots run deep within the bus industry, tracing back to Managing Director Calvin Van Der Merwe’s family legacy. Calvin has been around buses since birth, with his grandfather starting Bus Centre in 1987 and his mother launching our sister company, Bus Centre Hire, in 2002.

Calvin initially pursued a different path, obtaining an Honours in Dental Technology. However, in 2017, he began working alongside his late father at Bus Centre, selling new and used buses. This hands-on experience, combined with guidance from industry experts, allowed Calvin to gain extensive knowledge about buses.

Recognizing the growing demand for passenger transport, Calvin decided to address this market need. With the support of his mother, who has successfully operated Bus Centre Hire for over 22 years, TAG Passenger Services was born. Our primary service area is the Eastern Part of Gauteng, but we also serve other regions within the Gauteng province.
